It was announced that a 27-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) agreement was signed between Qatar and Chinese companies.
According to the Qatari news agency QNA, a long-term buy-sell agreement has been signed between Qatar-owned Qatar Energy and the China Petrochemical Company (SINOPEC).
According to the agreement, it was announced that Qatar Energy will supply SINOPEC with 4 million tons of LNG annually for 27 years.
Experts state that the agreement is “one of the longest-lasting agreements” in the LNG industry.
Being among the top LNG exporting countries in the world, Qatar has been supplying LNG to China since 2009.
