Report emerged on the collision of Capesize bulk carrier BRAVE SAILOR and Panamax bulk carrier LUCKY JOY, which took place on Jul 29 at Singapore bunkering anchorage. LUCKY JOY management filed a case and applied to Ningbo Maritime Court for BRAVE SAILOR arrest in China. According to claimant, BRAVE SAILOR was under way, probably going to anchor, and struck anchored LUCKY JOY starboard, inflicting serious damages, estimated at $3.9 mil. LUCKY JOY bridge was trying to contact BRAVE SAILOR to warn the watch, but failed. LUCKY JOY left Singapore on Aug 5, bound for China, was sailing in Taiwan Strait on Aug 14. Extent and character of LUCKY JOY damages weren’t specified. BRAVE SAILOR arrived at Jiangyin, Yangtze river upstream from Shanghai, on Aug 12. As of Aug 14, the ship remained in the same position.
