General cargo ship KLARIKA went out of control in Kiel Canal at around 1115 UTC Apr 8, while transiting Canal in western direction, en route from Finland to Spain. The ship got stuck between Canal embankments, sitting across fairway and blocking all traffic. She was freed at around 1400 UTC (understood with tugs assistance) and it seemed, resumed transit, but for reasons unknown, was turned around and started moving in opposite direction, escorted by at least 1 tug. Was approaching Kiel as of 1630 UTC. Was damaged in a mishap?
