Cement carrier NACC ARGONAUT ran aground in St. Lawrence river just above Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, in the morning Sep 24, while sailing upstream from Montreal to Oshawa. As of 0200 UTC Sep 25, was still aground. The ship seems to stray off fairway, probably because of imposed recently speed restrictions. She’s partially loaded with construction materials, no leak reported. Traffic in the area has been stopped.
