Disabled livestock carrier towed to Leros - News2Sea

Livestock carrier ELENA suffered engine failure in the afternoon Feb 15 in Aegean sea off Leros island, Greece, while en route from Libya to Tuzla Turkey. Understood the ship drifted dangerously close to island’s northern coast, was taken on tow in the morning Feb 16, and towed to Lakki Bay, Leros, where she was anchored. Remained anchored as of morning Feb 17.
