Inter-island ferry MAMA MARY CHLOE was caught in fire at around 1300 LT Jun 26 off Leyte island western coast, Philippines, while en route from Ubay town to Bato town, Leyte, with 157 passengers and 8 crew on board. Understood ferry was destroyed by fire, all but 2 people were rescued, 1 died and 1 went missing, search still going on. No data found on MAMA MARY CHLOE ferry boat, there are photos only, without much details. It is said though, that MAMA MARY CHLOE max capacity is 236 passengers.
