Passengers were evacuated by lifeboats in the fire that broke out on the passenger ferry with 94 passengers and 89 crew members in the English Channel between France and England.

According to the news in the British media, the fire started when it reached the middle of the Strait of Dover, which is 21 nautical miles (about 40 kilometers) wide, on the ferry, which departed from the Port of Dover in England to the Port of Calais in France at 17:30 local time with 183 people.

After the fire started in the engine room of the ferry The Isle of Innisfree, lifeboats departed from Dungenes, Ramsgate and Dover ports in England, and a tugboat departed from Calais Port in France.

No injuries were reported among the passengers and crew, all of whom were taken to lifeboats. In the statement made by the British coast guard, it was stated that the ship was anchored and the fire was responding.
