freighter under russian name drifted close to oil field, north sea

General cargo ship SERGEY BODROV reportedly suffered engine failure on Oct 22 and started to drift in North sea, being en route from Murmansk to Rotterdam. The ship drifted dangerously close to Norwegian Ekofisk oil field, so Norwegian Coast Guard had to respond, sending patrol ship NOGGV BERGEN to assist. SERGEY BODROV was taken on tow in the morning Oct 23, destination unclear. It is not clear also, when exactly freighter encountered problems, on Oct 22 or earlier, because according to track, she was either drifting or moving at slow speed since Oct 19, and probably, has been on tow for some time already, during Oct 19-22 period.
SERGEY BODROV has a rather curious recent history, starting Nov 2022, when she changed name, flag, owner and operator. SERGEY BODROV is a Russian name, owner and manager are Turkey-based, while ISM manager is based in Dubai, a well-known haven for Russian ships and companies fleeing from sanctions.
