General cargo ship grounded to avoid sinking, Vietnam - News2Sea

General cargo ship NAM PHAT 01 ran into trouble on Nov 28 off central Vietnam coast, after water started to flood engine room. The ship with 1,500 tons of steel was en route from Vung Tau to Nghi Son, northern Vietnam. To avoid sinking, the ship was grounded at Thang Binh district waters, under the supervision of MRCC and Border Guard. 11 crew were brought to shore, all are safe.
