General cargo ship APPOLO TRIUPH reported on fire in Mozambique Channel on Dec 27, 19 crew abandoned the ship and went into life rafts. The ship is adrift since around 1930 UTC Dec 26, fire probably started late Dec 25, crew apparently, were trying to extinguish it or put under control, but failed. Last available AIS pos was at around 2000 UTC Dec 26, some 45 nm east of Mozambique coast. No further info available. The ship is en route from Cape Town to Dar-es-Salaam.
