General cargo ship HESEN M ran aground in shallows near beacon, off Maltepe, southeast Istanbul, Marmara sea, at around 1130 UTC Oct 16, while heading for Bosphorus for a northbound transit. No leak reported, as of 1640 UTC tug was already working on her. HESEN M is en route from Turkey to Sulina Romania.
