General cargo ship EMMA OLDENDORFF ran aground at Panama Canal entrance, Pacific side, at 0540 LT (UTC -5) Dec 22. The ship is in load, bound for Corpus Christi USA. As of 1155 LT, was still aground, Panama Canal transits and traffic not affected. The ship might be hard aground, as she veered off fairway at rather high speed.
