Lebanese freighter sank in Aegean sea, 13 crew missing - News2Sea

General cargo ship RAPTOR reportedly, sank off southwest coast of Lesvos island, Greece, Aegean sea, in the morning Nov 26. The ship issued distress signal after she was disabled in rough seas, and probably, suffered cargo of salt shift. The approached Lesvos coast in the evening Nov 25, and was drifting, according to track. AIS went off at 0558 UTC Nov 26, of 14 crew 1 was rescued, 13 went missing, SAR underway, with deployment of Greek Navy and helicopters, and nearby freighters. If all crew weren’t able to go to life rafts or lifeboat, it might mean, that the ship capsized. The ship was en route from Egypt to Istanbul, crew consists of one Indian national, eleven Egyptian and two Syrian nationals.
