Malaysia bans all Israeli and Israel-bound ships starting today

Malaysia bans all Israeli and Israel-bound ships starting today - News2Sea

The Malaysian government has decided to restrict and prohibit Israeli-based shipping company, ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd from docking at any Malaysian ports, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a statement issued on Dec 20, he said he will take immediate action by imposing a permanent ban on the company effective immediately.
“This restriction is a response to Israel’s actions that disregard basic humanitarian principles and violate international law through continuous massacres and atrocities against the Palestinian people,” he added.
“Furthermore, Malaysia imposes a ban on any ship en route to Israel from loading cargo at Malaysian ports. Both of these restrictions take immediate effect. Malaysia is confident that these decisions will not adversely affect Malaysia’s trade activities,” said the Prime Minister.
