In the Gulf of Guinea, the crew’s communication with the land was cut off when pirates attacked a Danish ship.

In the Gulf of Guinea, a ship belonging to the Monjasa shipping company became the target of pirates.

In the statement made by the company, it was noted that the ship was attacked last Saturday, approximately 225 kilometers off the Pointe-Noire Port in the Republic of the Congo. The pirates on board cut off all communication between the crew and land.

The 16 crew members on board took shelter in a safe room.

Authorities in the region are carrying out a rescue operation with a large number of soldiers.
