Bulk service SOLINA encountered mechanical difficulty within the morning Oct 6 in Lake Michigan, Nice Lakes, whereas en route from Milwaukee to Thunder Bay, Lake Superior. SOLINA needed to interrupt voyage and anchor off Manistee. She remained at anchor till evening Oct 7, when she was taken on tow by tug MEREDITH ASHTON, to be towed again to Milwaukee, ETA Oct 8.
