Saudi ro-ro cargo ship ALNAWA EXPRESS is understood to run aground at around 0420 UTC Aug 14 north of Ras Gharib, Egypt, Gulf of Suez, while en route from Suez to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with cargo of cars on board. According to report, the ship suffered mechanical failure and had to anchor, later she drifted aground in stormy conditions. Problem was fixed, the ship was refloated and resumed voyage at around 1100 UTC Aug 14.
