Russia after Bangladeshi shipyard workers - News2Sea

Russia is looking for work force elsewhere, including Bangladesh. Some 100 shipbuilding workers will probably, soon go to Russia, to work at Russian shipyards. Russia is looking for skilled workers, such as scaffolding builders, hull fitters, mechanisms fitters, pipe fitters, welders, interpreters. Average salary is around $700 monthly. Workers should have experience of working at South Korean, Singaporean or other world class shipyards. Also, they should be ready and willing to work and reside in a country with air temperature as low as -10 – -30C. Transfer to/back from Russia, accommodations and travels in Russia are to be paid by employer. Workers will have to pay for their food, which in nowadays Russia might not come cheap. There is though small, risk to be “mobilized” and sent to war. It already happened with a number of migrant workers from Central Asia republics.
Russian economy is experiencing labor force shortage, especially in skilled workers. Some were mobilized and sent to war, with 40% chance of survival, even more people fled Russia – young and most qualified. Russia is bleeding profusely and fast, in all aspects.
