The keel installation ceremony of MED-B4500, a multi-purpose buoy-cutting twin screw that Med Marine will build for Port Qasim Authority (POA), was held. The ship, whose contract was signed in March 2022, will be based in Karachi Port, the most populous city of Pakistan.

The ship, which will carry 16 crew members and be 45 meters long and 11.8 meters wide, is being built at Ereğli Shipyard. While the design of the ship was made by Singaporean SeaTech Solutions, these ships, called buoy tenders; It can provide many services from buoy lowering, collection and repair to drawing fuel from the sea by adding special equipment.

In his speech at the contract ceremony, Med Marine General Manager Yıldız Bozkurt Özcan stated their happiness in being involved in such a project and said, “As Med Marine, we are proud to announce that Port Qasim Authority is such a dynamic, modern, fully integrated port facility whose main mission is to contribute to the economic development of Pakistan.” “We are honored to be your choice and business partner,” he said.
