Bangladeshi product tanker O.T. SHAGOR NANDINI-2 suffered explosion and fire in superstructure on Jun 30 in Sugandha river, Bangladesh. Tanker with diesel fuel and petroleum on board was to offload cargo at Padma depot, but due to holiday, she wasn’t allowed to berth and commence offloading. Explosion and fire destroyed superstructure, leaving cargo tanks and cargo intact. Of 11 crew on board, 4 with burns were rescued, 7 went missing.
