According to the statement made by the Coastal Police, the 114-meter-long general cargo ship named “Artey”, flagged by Cameroon, suffered a rudder failure in front of Çardak in the Dardanelles while sailing from Izmir to Ukraine.
The ship anchored at Şevketiye Anchorage, under the coordination of Çanakkale Ship Traffic Services Center, accompanied by the pilot and the tug Rescue-15.
