They Don’t Open The Curtains

The Acar family, who has been waiting for the day their son will come without losing hope for 127 days, does not even open the curtains in their homes. Watching her son’s path, mother Arzu Acar said, “My son has been missing for months, we don’t know what we are doing. I am hopeful, one day my son will come out. We reached the advisor of our President, thank goodness they were interested. They should not leave us alone, please find my son. My son disappeared before he could even get his salary. I stand for my child, and I will stand until I die. I will find out what happened to him. For the sake of Allah, let anyone who sees what happened, tell him what happened,” he said.

‘Everybody on board is a suspect in my eyes’

Explaining that he was in contact with some of the crew on the ship, Acar said, “They last saw 14.30 on the ship, no one knows what happened afterwards. I still suspect; cell phone, cigarette, etc. on his stand. Even if he falls into the sea, nothing will happen in his pocket? I also remember that he was hiding. Did this boy see something there that he shouldn’t have seen? Experienced captains say that no one can jump off that ship. We said goodbye to him from here, he was very happy. What happened happened before he could tell me, otherwise my son would not hide anything, he would tell me. For God’s sake, let them tell us what happened, so we can relax. Everyone on board is a suspect in my eyes. There is still the smell of my son on his clothes,” he said.

‘One Day We Will Open Those Curtains’

Father Sinan Acar, who longed to hug his son’s photo, said, “My son was a successful engineer, after only 1.5 days of work, my son disappeared in the Mediterranean. We have been waiting for months, waiting and uncertainty have devastated us. We have no strength left to endure. The heart cannot bear this pain, but despite everything, we have hope; My son will come out and we will go back to our old days. I ask the state authorities, our President, to find my son, alive or dead. When my son comes, we will open the closed curtain together; sunlight will then illuminate our hall. One day we will open those curtains.”
