In the morning Nov 23 general cargo ship LADY BERNA requested medical assistance at Taranto anchorage, Italy, after ship’s Master, 40-year old Turkish nationality, suffered heart attack. Patrol boat took Master to the port, where he has ogt medical treatment. His condition was found not to be life-threatening, but he needs time to recover under proper observation. Chief Officer, meanwhile, stays in charge of the ship. as of morning Nov 24, LADY BERNA remained at Taranto anchorage.
