General cargo ship WILSON FINNFJORD suffered engine failure in the evening Jul 12 while approaching Tower Road bascule bridge, leaving Birkenhead, UK. The ship dropped anchor in emergency and stopped, resting starboard on the embankment. She was under way again shortly after mishap, and safely reached river Mersey. Understood there were none or slight damages, both ship’s and bridge’s. WILSON FINNFJORD was allowed to resumed voyage, on Jul 13 she arrived at Warren Point, UK.
