Container ship ASTRID L lost 9 containers overboard at Ashdod Anchorage, Israel, on Dec 27. At least three 40-foot containers loaded with house electronics, including refrigerators, household utensils and other consumer goods, drifted ashore. Locals started to loot containers cargo in the evening Dec 27, and continued well into Dec 28. The ship after containers loss, was taken to Ashdod and berthed, to handle collapsed stacks with containers on board. ASTRID L is circulating between Israeli and Turkish ports.
