A fire broke out on a ferry off the coast of Batangas province, Philippines. While 73 people have been rescued so far, the operation in the region continues.
A ferry carrying 82 people caught fire as it approached the port, off the coast of Batangas province in the south of Manila in the Philippines.
Commodore Armando Balilo, spokesperson for the Philippines Coast Guard, announced that 34 crew and 48 passengers were on the ferry and 1 person was injured.
Balilo also stated that there were 15 vehicles on the ferry.
It has been learned that 73 people have been rescued so far, and the work continues.
