UAE’s ADNOC Logistics and Services welcomed the delivery of their second newbuild crude carrier, the “Hasbhan,” a state-of-the-art Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) powered by LNG dual-fuel technology.

Last month, ADNOC received its first vessel of this kind, the “HAFEET” The remaining two vessels are set to be delivered in the third and fourth quarters of the current financial year. All these ships were constructed at the Okpo Shipyard in Geoje Island, South Korea, by Hanwha Ocean (formerly known as Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering).

In line with its commitment to sustainability, ADNOC has allocated around $2 billion for the development of more environment-friendly vessels. The company has already achieved an impressive 20% reduction in the carbon intensity of its owned fleet since 2018.
