Aid ship sent by MSC Group for earthquake victims docked in Iskenderun

MSC Group continues its aid mobilization with the support of group companies MSC, MEDLOG and ASYAPORT after the disaster in our country.

MSC AUELIA, which departed from Naples, Italy on 16 February, carrying basic needs and first aid materials for earthquake victims, docked at Iskenderun Port yesterday evening .

MSC AUELIA, which will meet the shelter needs of those who lost their homes in the earthquake, will provide a bed capacity of more than 1,000 during the two-month stay in İskenderun, with the coordination of the local government and AFAD. On board are medical supplies, pediatric medicines and supplements, hygienic supplies, toys, crayons, long-lasting food and beverages, clothing and blankets collected by the MSC Group, MSC Foundation and Rava Foundation.

The aid materials to be unloaded from the ship will be transported to the destinations determined by AFAD and from there to the people in need, with Medlog Logistics tow trucks from MSC Group companies.

MSC Turkey establishes a container campus at the port of Iskenderun for nearly 300 MSC Group employees and their families affected by the earthquake, and provides shelter, food, beverages and basic necessities every day. At the same time, in cooperation with the TR Ministry of Interior, Tekirdağ Governorship and AFAD, thousands of empty containers were allocated in order to meet the sheltering needs of earthquake victims in Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Hatay and Kahramanmaraş, the four most affected provinces of Turkey, during the winter cold. Provided logistical support for the delivery of aid materials to those in need, with nearly 1,000 containers, trucks and wagons.
