Bulk carrier TOMAHAWK failed to transit Bosphorus in the evening Sep 8 after engine breakdown in front of Haydarpasa, Istanbul, Marmara sea. The ship was taken back to Ahirkapi Anchorage by Traffic Control tugs, and as of 0510 UTC Sep 9, remained anchored. The ship is in ballast, arrived at Ahirkapi Anchorage on Sep 8, from India. She’s identified by Turkish Maritime Authorities as “grain ship”, and she was northbound, so probably destination is Ukraine.
