On March 22nd, CARNIVAL VENEZIA became the 25th vessel in Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet, following its transfer from one of Carnival’s subsidiaries, Costa Cruises. The ship, which can accommodate up to 5,145 guests and 1,393 crew members, will begin year-round sailing from New York City under the Carnival brand starting this June.
Currently docked at the Navantia Shipyard in Cadiz, Spain, the CARNIVAL VENEZIA is undergoing extensive refurbishment. After the refurbishment, it will embark on a 15-day transatlantic voyage, starting from Barcelona, Spain, on May 29th, 2023.
From June 15th, the ship will begin year-round cruising from New York’s Manhattan Cruise Terminal, offering voyages to 14 different countries and travelling to 25 ports with 22 unique itineraries. The cruise will include new items inspired by Italian cuisine and standard activities and experiences featured across all ships in Carnival’s fleet, such as Carnival WaterWorks, a piano bar, a steakhouse, a burger joint, a sushi and teppanyaki restaurant, and a salon and spa.
CARNIVAL VENEZIA is the second ship to be transferred to Carnival Cruise Line, following Carnival Luminosa’s addition to the fleet in November 2022. Another cruise ship, the “CARNIVAL FIRENZE,” will also be transferred and begin sailing from Long Beach, California, next year.
