Cruise ship AMBIENCE had to shelter from stormy weather at Cherbourg France, while en route from Ireland to Hornfleur, on Apr 12. She was berthed, but some mooring lines gave up and the ship was about to break off, with gangway dangling from her starboard side. Tugs responded, the ship was secured at berth, with all passengers and crew remaining on board during accident. Reportedly, starboard hull sustained some damages. AMBIENCE left Cherbourg in the morning Apr 13 and headed for Tilbury UK, Hornfleur call was, apparently, cancelled.
