Turkish shipyard ARES Shipyard, known for its fast and durable military naval platforms, has introduced the ARES 32 PREDATOR & DAGGER Fast Interceptor Ship solution.
The new 32-meter interceptor ships have a speed of over 45 knots and very high maneuverability for rapid intercept and hit-and-run missions up to Sea State-6 conditions.
With a range of 2,000 nautical miles, the ships have an operational coverage area greater than the Exclusive Economic Zones and challenge the current fast attack ship solutions in the inventories of navies and coast guards.
Developed in two different variants, ARES 32 Fast Intercept Ships can be equipped with different weapons and sensor payloads.
Lethal power with ÇAKIR Cruise Missile: ARES 32 PREDATOR
The first variant, ARES 32 PREDATOR, is configured with ROKETSAN’s new generation, two single-cabin ÇAKIR cruise missiles with an effective range of over 150 km, in addition to four shorter-range L-UMTAS laser-guided missiles, while the DAGGER variant has a relatively shorter range. It is equipped with two four-cell infrared/laser guided missiles for targets.
Both ARES 32 PREDATOR & DAGGER variants feature 25 mm or 30 mm remote-controlled auto-stabilized naval gun systems on the foredeck for closer-range naval or land targets. Additionally, there are two 12.7 mm machine guns on the upper deck for asymmetric threats such as pirates, smugglers or illegal human traffickers.
ARES 32 PREDATOR & DAGGER ships feature state-of-the-art battle management systems, X and S-Band radars, electro-optical surveillance and marking systems, and a RHIB with launcher on the aft deck for boarding and SAR missions. Thanks to ARES’s state-of-the-art design solution, the ships have a very low radar cross-section and infrared signature, inherently a figure of self-defense.
