Houthis targeted another ship heading to Israel - News2Sea

Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen announced that they attacked a ship heading to Israel in the Red Sea.

Military Spokesperson of the Houthis, Yahya Seri, stated in his statement that their armed forces targeted the container ship named CMA CGM TAGE heading to the occupied Palestinian ports.

Stating that the ship’s crew refused to respond to warning shots and various calls, Seri did not share information about the consequences of the attack on the ship.

Noting that the operation was carried out against the injustice of the Palestinian people who were subjected to blockade and attack, Seri emphasized that attacks on Israeli ships going to occupied Palestinian ports in the Red Sea and Persian Gulf will continue until the people in the Gaza Strip receive the food and medicine they need.

In his statement, Seri also threatened that any American attack in this context would not go unanswered and unpunished.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in a statement on the X social media platform this morning that the Houthis launched 2 anti-ship missiles into the Red Sea from the region under their control in Yemen.
