Contacts were lost with cargo ship LCT CIPTA HARAPAN IX on Jun 12, last ship’s position as of Jun 12 was some 70 nm off northern coast of Java, halfway between Jakarta and Surabaya. Landing craft loaded with heavy machinery left Jakarta on Jun 9, bound for Maluku. All the way from Jakarta to her last known position, LCT CIPTA HARAPAN IX was not as much ailing, as limping at some 3 knots speed. On Jun 13 she was reported capsized by locals, in Karimunjawa waters. Of 11 crew on board, 6 were rescued, 5 remain missing.
