Container ship AL JASRAH at around 1000 UTC Dec 15, while sailing in southern Red sea roughly abeam of Yemeni’s Mukha port, was hit by either drone or missile, which hit portside of the ship in probably, cargo deck area, causing fire. At least one container was thrown overboard by an explosion. Crew are safe. AL HASRAH is sailing in southern direction, en route from Greece to Singapore, so naturally, her portside was open to fire from Yemeni coast. What is it what displeased Houthis, is unknown. Some traces of Israeli ownership? Germany supporting Israel in ongoing Gaza conflict?
Ship’s AIS is on and wasn’t switched off, the ship was already steaming in Bab al Mandeb as of 1200 UTC Dec 15.
