Mega container ship MOL TREASURE broke down while leaving Southampton in the afternoon Jan 26 in The Solent, in front of Fawley. Not clear how the situation developed, probably ship dropped anchor. Several tugs responded, MOL TREASURE resumed moving some 5 hours later, she has been taken back to Southampton and as of 2130 UTC, was approaching pier, surrounded by 5 tugs. Character of trouble unknown. Some local sources said MOL TREASURE has run aground. She’s bound for Le Havre.
