Chief of Defense Staff of Romanian Armed Forces Petrescu said, that Russia is “actively and constantly” jamming the GPS communications of ships in Romanian territorial waters, which might cause ships’ collisions, and Romania and NATO must prepare for a long-term confrontation with the regime of the Russian Federation”
He made a number of statements in an address to the Euroatlantic Resilience Forum, organized in Bucharest by the Euroatlantic Center for Resilience, saying also, that the region has become the scene of increasingly frequent military actions, with maritime incidents and actions limiting the free movement of ships. Just last night (Sep 27-28), anti-aircraft alarms sounded in Ukrainian cities, close to the border with Romania, announcing imminent attacks.
