The platform named Sea Installer, which will be maintained and repaired at Gemak Altınova Shipyard in Yalova, passed through the Dardanelles.
The Danish-flagged “Sea Installer” platform, 132 meters long and 65 meters high, with a weight of 15 thousand 966 gross tons, which set off from Vlissingen Port in the Netherlands and goes to Gemak Altınova Shipyard, entered the Bosphorus from the south.
Due to the passage of the platform, which reached the front of Canakkale in approximately 2 hours, the Dardanelles Strait was closed to one-way transit ships.
The platform, which continues its course in the Marmara Sea, was accompanied by the tugboats “Kurtarma-5” and “Kurtarma-15” belonging to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety for safety reasons.
