Fire erupted in engine room of cruise ship WILDERNESS DISCOVERER in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska, in the morning Jun 5. There were 51 passenger and 15 crew on board, USCG and nearby cruise ship SAPPHIRE PRINCESS quickly responded and evacuated all passengers and non-essential crew. Fire was extinguished by crew, by sealing off engine room and activating CO2 system. WILDERNESS DISCOVERER has been disabled, she was taken on tow of tug TAKU WIND (IMO 8991700) at around 1930 LT, caravan was under way as of 2100 LT Jun 5, reportedly to Ketchikan.
