South Korea’s Foreign Ministry announced that sanctions were imposed on 11 ships, 2 individuals and 3 companies for providing resources to North Korea by “smuggling refined oil and coal” with North Korean ships.
According to Yonhap, the sanctions were imposed to “deter North Korea from providing illegal resources and financing used in its nuclear and missile programs”.
