In the statement made on AFAD’s social media account, it was stated that as a result of the search for the crew lost on the dry cargo ship that sank due to adverse weather conditions on November 19, the lifeless body of one more person was found and the search for 8 people continues.

The Turkish-flagged dry cargo ship named “Kafkametler” crashed into the breakwater off the coast of Zonguldak’s Karadeniz Ereğli district on November 19 due to high-speed wind and storm, and a search and rescue operation was launched for the missing 12-person crew.
So far, the dead bodies of 4 members of the crew have been found, and the search and rescue effort for 8 people continues.
