UAV attack on base in Syria
Ryder explained that on October 18, two UAVs were attacked against the US military base in Syria, one of the UAVs was destroyed in the air, and the other hit the base and caused minor damage.
Stating that the early warning systems at the US-owned Ayn al-Assad Military Base in Iraq on the morning of the same day pointed out a possible approaching threat, Ryder said that the personnel entered the shelters as a protective measure, no attack occurred, and a civilian employee suffered a heart attack during this time. He shared the information that he passed away.
Ryder stated that there is currently no clear information about who is behind these attacks, and whether they are related to the Israeli-Palestinian tension is being examined separately. He stated that there has been an increase in UAV attacks in Iraq and Syria in the last few days, and that US forces should prevent the Hamas-Palestinian tension from spreading to a wider area. He added that he would continue to remain in the region and support Israel as a deterrent force.
