XSR 85-NB202, built by Sarp Yachts, was launched with a ceremony.
XSR 85-NB202, built by Sarp Yachts, was launched recently. The yacht, which is 25 meters long and 6 meters wide, can accommodate a total of 12 people, including a crew of 4. The yacht, which can be used in multiple modes with hybrid technology, can reach a speed of 22 knots.
The yacht has the patented ‘Fast Displacement Hull Form’ (FDHF) by Dutch Van Oossanen Naval Architects. This form allows the yacht to perform optimally over a wide speed range. Unlike traditional hull designs, which only provide superiority in a limited speed range, it provides a more comfortable and safe ride with its seakeeping ability, improved maneuverability and reduced sensitivity to weight increases, compared to hard-chinned ships, with its adaptability to harsh sea conditions.
One of the defining features of the XSR 85 is its choice of different modes to suit a variety of cruising needs. In Diesel Electric Mode, it uses electric motors powered by a generator via a hybrid module for propulsion. Electric Mode uses only batteries for propulsion, making it nearly zero-emission. While Quiet Mode provides a calm environment without the noise of internal combustion engines, Boost Mode allows the yacht to perform at its peak by using both main engines and electric motors simultaneously.
