YILPORT continues its investments for Bolivar Port in Ecuador, whose management it took over for 50 years in 2016. Yılport, which added 11 more RTG cranes in January 2022, then served with 1400 refrigerated plug-in containers in the first quarter of 2023, increased this number to 2510. In October 2023, it was announced that they purchased 4 new STS and 1 RTG cranes for the port. Orders departed from Oita, Japan, on October 24, and arrived in Puerto Bolivar on November 29.

YILPORT Puerto Bolívar is now equipped to handle a wide variety of cargo with 6 STS, 18 RTG and 4 Mobile Port cranes, and the terminal’s capacity reaches 1 million TEU. In addition to the new equipment, with the new construction of Phase II, the terminal will have a quay length of 1,410 meters, of which 780 meters will be reserved for container ships, and will be operational by February 2024. YILPORT, which monitors the country’s rise in banana and shrimp exports with the aim of becoming the main port of Ecuador, aims to triple its current volumes within 3 years as a result of its development studies.
