A boat tour was organized in Demre as part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Republic. The event was attended by Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Demre District Governor Onur Şatıroğlu, Demre Mayor Gülsüm Cengiz, Demre District Police Chief Yuşa Kılıçaslan, Demre District Gendarmerie Commander Gendarmerie First Lieutenant Mücahit Yılmaz, Antalya Chamber of Shipping President Ahmet Çetin, TÜRSAB Mediterranean Region Representative Board Chairman Rıza Perçin. , Demre Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Director Yusuf Ülker and many Demre residents attended.
Approximately 80 boats registered to Üçağız and Çayağzı boat cooperatives departed from Demre and Üçağız ports and met at Gökkaya Bay. The boats arriving at Çayağzı Port accompanied by the cortege formed a crescent shape. While the Turkish flag and the 100th anniversary flag were unfurled by aerial parasailing, the event ended with music and the 10th Anniversary March. (DHA)
