On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, a demonstration was held in Amasra Grand Port with the helicopters and boats of the Coast Guard Western Black Sea Group Command.

At the event, helicopters and boats demonstrated their maneuverability in the open sea for the first time. Then, a drill was organized to rescue a person stranded at sea.

In accordance with the scenario in the exercise, first contact was made with the person in the water by throwing a life preserver from the helicopter. Then the personnel attached to the helicopter with a rescue rope went down. The staff and the person he pinned to himself were quickly pulled into the helicopter.

A diver who participated in the rescue effort at the demonstration also raised a Turkish flag in the air while being pulled to the helicopter with the help of a rope.

Governor Nurtaç Arslan, Garrison Commander Marine Senior Colonel Erkan Şahin, Provincial Police Chief Ünsal Hayal, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Ersin Aslan, representatives of public institutions and citizens with Turkish flags in their hands attended the event.
