Bulk carrier BERGE NISHIKAWA ran aground in Rio De La Plata Gulf in Martin Garcia Channel at 1320 LT (UTC -3) Jun 27, while proceeding to Nueva Palmira port, en route from Montevideo. The ship blocked channel, was refloated by 2 tugs at around 0150 LT Jun 28, resumed sailing to Nueva Palmira, at around 0500 LT was anchored at Nueva Palmira anchorage. No damages reported.
