A Marshall Islands flag cargo ship ran aground in the Suez Canal, but reportedly did not affect traffic in the canal.

In the written statement made on the Twitter account of the “Leth Agencies” cargo company, it was stated that a ship named “Glory”, loaded with grain, ran aground near the Egyptian city of Kantara while cruising from the Mediterranean in the direction of the Red Sea with a grain convoy in the Suez Canal.

In the statement, it was stated that the ship was tried to be floated by tugboats.

Suez Canal Administration President Osama Rabi said in a statement to Saudi Arabian television Al-Arabi that the ship “Glory” ran aground “a little” and was tried to be floated.

Rabi said that the ship’s grounding did not affect the ship traffic in the canal.

On the other hand, noted that the ship carrying 65,000 tons of corn is on its way from Ukraine to China.
