In the statement published on the Facebook page of the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority affiliated with UBH, information was given about the dimensions and standards determined for the ships and tugboats that will be allowed to enter the Derne Port, which was out of service due to the flood.

It was noted that ships and tugboats can proceed to the port after inspection at the entrance to Derne Port, provided that the draft of the ship does not exceed 5 to 7 meters.

The statement also stated that there is currently a crisis committee in Derne Port to organize aid ships, deliver aid to flood victims in the city and neighboring areas as soon as possible, and organize the efforts to save those caught in the flood.

Hüseyin Suveydan, Head of the Roads and Bridges Department of UBH, stated in his statement during the day that there was difficulty in reaching some regions as a result of the collapse of most of the bridges and roads due to the flood caused by the “Daniel” storm.
