A cylinder or barrel with chlorine fell from forklift in cargo deck of ferry FILIPINAS SURIGAO DEL NORTE at Cebu port, Philippines, in the afternoon Oct 7 during loading. More than 20 crew were exposed to spilled sulfuric acid, including Captain, and were taken to hospital, suffering from nausea and vomiting, after inhaling poisonous vapors. Some 10 of them remained in hospital for further treatment. The ship remained at Cebu until Oct 9, in the afternoon she left the port, bound for Surigao.
